It is with sincere gratitude that I acknowledge the efforts of the Fly Away to Heaven Committee and Volunteers who have undertaken to support our people in their need. I encourage all Australians to sponsor this Project by supporting the Fly Away to Heaven National Fly-a-thon.
My people, living in hope, will be greatly encouraged by this good will flight that expresses Australia’s acknowledgement of our struggle for independence and self reliance.
The opportunity the Fly Away to Heaven Project offers for orphanages, education/training and health centres will strengthen the links between our two neighbouring countries giving hope to all through this “gift of giving”.
I wish to acknowledge and to convey on behalf of the Government and the people of East Timor our gratitude and reliance on the good will of Australians to help East Timor through the Fly Away to Heaven Project.
